Use cases

Convena for community builders

Convena helps community builders run free meetups month after month. Set a capacity and a waitlist takes over when it's full, with places passed on automatically when people cancel. Check people in by scanning their QR pass, see who keeps coming back, and invite past attendees who asked to hear about the next one.

Before the meetup

  • Describe it in a sentence and edit the drafted page, questions and agenda.
  • Free tickets need no payment setup at all.
  • A confirmation with a calendar file, and a reminder the day before, both approved by you.

At the door

  • Every attendee has a pass with a QR code; scan it with your phone's camera while signed in and press Check in.
  • Or search the check-in list by name.
  • Export everyone, with their answers, as a spreadsheet.

After, and next time

A follow-up with a short feedback survey. Attendee history across events shows your regulars. Save the meetup as a template, and invite only past attendees who opted in to hear about future events; everyone else can unsubscribe in one click.

Questions

Does it cost anything for free meetups?
